Happy Friday!!
How ya'll doin? I'm Spiffy.
I took my 24 hour vacation last weekend.
Went to the Root's Picnic for the first time with my amazing cousin, Freedom.
It was her first concert ever,
Needless to say the day was full of music, food and epic vibrations.
We got there before the gates opened and spent the day fully embracing the music fueled merriment
I played in a Madden tourney and was soundly beaten...
by a professional Madden player.
I didn't let that shank my swag though.
The best set of the entire show in my humble opinion was No Name!
If you have not gotten to know No Name,
No shame, but you really should.
She is divinely blessed with lyrical content that reminds one of an early Ursula Rucker or Lina,
with a voice that delivers chills.
I actually was introduced to her music recently by a Guru of mine,
While playing taxi my Guru put on
From The Healing Component.
This opened my earballs to the beauty that is NoName.
Please lend this lady your ears,
You'll be glad you did.
