Peace.

Happy Friday!

How ya'll doin?

I'm feeling a sense of recent nostalgia...

What could I possibly mean?

Well I was thinking,

When I was growing up, music was my best friend.

Notorious BIG said it best "I let my tape rock till my tape popped"

True story.

We had tapes and later CDs.

Music was not as fast paced in it's release and production as it is now.

There are wonderful aspects to this.

I can carry 2000+ songs on one tiny device in my pocket.

Hear just about anything almost as soon

as it plays on my mental jukebox.

This is beautiful to me.

Being one of the lucky ones who were there at the birth of MP3s

I gotten to watch media adapt into an invisible form.

We can hear it but not see it.

Sometimes things are out of sight, out of mind.

This means that we may forget of the inherent greatness of an album or an artist more quickly.

I have encountered some wonderful mixtapes and then a week or two later it's on to the next.

This week, no new mixtape.

I'm grateful for what we have currently.

I am going to suggest that you revisit some music you love.

I personally will be replaying

my favorite artist's series of brilliant mixtapes.

Promise that I will be spotlighting new artists soon.

Today,

lets all thank those who continually rock out speakers and make our auditory canals smile.

Till next time.

DiZz-E Out

Peace.
