How Ya'll doin?
I'm lovely.
Unless you live under a rock you have seen the world
That we are currently forced to endure.
There is so much negative activity that daily living can feel like an Sensory assault.
Being positive in such an environment
Would seem to be pure foolishness,
YET,
Being positive is the only way to counteract the negative,
Love, kindness, joy, hope and gentleness
Are all attributes that I know that my readers embody
While we do our best to cope,
Just be assured that there is hope.
Don't lose faith darlings.
Something else that I have been wondering is...
What is worth more?
Youthful exuberance or solid experience.
To be sure both have their upsides,
Youthful exuberance is what made some of
The greatest artists stand out in their time.
However,
Solid experience is what helped them endure,
To touch generation after generation.
Mellowness and maturity come with age,
Like a fine wine or barrel aged whiskey.
The same sentiment can be expressed in a new and vibrant way with experience.
Instead of a barbed wire verse of righteous anger,
perhaps,
A thoughtful ballad full of poetry and feeling could convey
The same thing.
In the face of some of the more unjust incidents that have Happened of late,
I have had to confront my own experience,
With abuses of power by the law.
I must live with it daily.
So I soldier onward,
Writing poetry along the way as a battle hymn.
An epithet to those who wonder...
“How long? ”
It should be,
“Know Justice, Know Peace”
Seek solace in those you love.
Know that I love you all.
Be well.
