The Space Between Hope & Despair
The space between hope and despair
isn't even thin enough to fit air
only one thing can dwell there
it is precious and rare
Its something that we share
and many try to just ensnare
I’ve seen it like a crystal stair
just floating over behind the chair
it bigger than a bugle blast
fleet as the time that past
unbreakable one the die is cast
unshakeable to the very last
when in a tight room it won't feel overcrowded
experiencing it will make you never doubt it
even when the sun is clouded
the veil is shrouded
or
the time is outed
U scream and shout it
I cannot do without it
I feel all about it
I am turn'd out by it.
I wanna drape it in my skin
let the sun shine in
inward outwardly
redouble it bountifully
be ever so lightly
ever so slightly
lifted
blessed an gifted
miracles are born every day
and indeed I do pray
you know what I mean to say
yes it is true I love you too
the space between hope and despair
isn't even thin enough to fit air
only one thing can dwell there
it is precious and rare
its something that we share
many try to just ensnare
I’ve seen it like a crystal stair
just floating over behind the chair
